Roger C. Boatner, CPA, MTA is a 1989 graduate of Mississippi State University where he received a Bachelor of Professional Accountancy degree. In 1990, he received his Master of Tax Accounting degree from the University of Alabama. Roger practiced accounting from 1990 to 1992 with KPMG Peat Marwick in Tampa, Florida, before moving to Gadsden, Alabama to work with Sanford A. Willis, CPA, P.C. in 1992. His primary practice area is corporate, partnership, fiduciary and individual taxation. He is a member of the Board of Directors of BBVA Compass Bank, Treasurer of the Gadsden Country Club, Treasurer of Gadsden City Youth Football, Treasurer of the Gadsden City Baseball League, member of the Board of Directors of Alabama’s Federal Tax Clinic, and an active Deacon at his church. He has also served his church as finance committee chairman, Sunday School teacher, and on the TV ministry. His past service includes the Gadsden Kiwanis Club (president), the United Way of Etowah County, Break-Away Ministries (treasurer), Fellowship of Christian Athletes of Northeast Alabama (chairman), Episcopal Day School, past chairman of Gadsden City School System Foundation, . Roger has also coached youth baseball, basketball, softball and football. He is a member of American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and Alabama Society of Certified Public Accountants. Roger and his wife Beth have two children, Nolan and Sydney, and reside in Southside, Alabama.
